Getting started

What Clearvia Zero is

The catalog, the facts it records, how fresh they are, and the tools built on top.

The catalog

The catalog lists offers: one official free plan of one product, such as Neon Free or Cloudflare Workers Free. Offers are grouped into 15 categories and tagged with the roles they can fill, such as postgres, auth, transactional-email or llm. One offer can fill several roles; Supabase Free covers a database, auth, file storage and functions.

For every offer, Clearvia records:

  • The free allowance: storage, requests, users, emails, tokens and the other limits that decide whether a project fits, with the period each resets over.
  • What happens at the limit: requests refused, project paused, usage slowed down, or overage billed, and whether a hard cap keeps you at $0.
  • Lifecycle: whether idle projects are paused and whether free resources are deleted after a time.
  • Who can sign up: card, phone, ID or business checks, and region restrictions.
  • What the terms allow: commercial use and, for AI models, training on your inputs.
  • Mainland China: reachability, a blocked default domain, and whether an ICP filing is needed.

Evidence and freshness

Every stated fact has a verbatim quote from the provider's official pages, with the page address and the date it was captured. Facts a page does not state are recorded as unknown.

Each record shows two dates. Verified means a machine re-read the source pages and found every quote; confirmed means a person reviewed the record. Records not re-checked for 30 days are marked stale. See the methodology.

The tools

  • Planner: pick what you are building, your constraints and expected usage; get one free plan per need with reasons, risks, headroom and alternatives.
  • Repository check: drop your manifests to see which services a project uses and what can break or bill on their free plans.
  • Change feed: reviewed changes to free plans, classified as better or worse.
  • API and MCP server: the same data and planner for your code and your coding agent.

Neutral by design

The planner's rules are published and deterministic: the same request gives the same answer everywhere. Referral links and sponsored placements are always labelled, and they are not inputs to the ranking.
