Methodology

Where the facts come from, how fresh they are and how the planner ranks plans.

The full methodology is published at clearvia.app/methodology. In short:

  • Evidence for every fact. Each stated fact carries a verbatim quote from the provider's official pages, with the page address and the time it was captured. When a page does not say something, the record says unknown.
  • Official sources only. Quotes must come from the provider's own domains. The only outside sources accepted are independent reachability testers for mainland-China facts, and a provider's own ICP filing number.
  • Two clocks. Verified means a machine re-read the source pages and found every quote; this runs daily, PDFs included. Confirmed means a person reviewed the record, which is the only way to keep facts fresh on the few sites that refuse automated checks. Records neither verified in the last 30 days nor confirmed in the last 90 are shown as stale and rank lower.
  • Reviewed changes. Every edit to the catalog is reviewed before it ships, and each change is classified as better or worse and published in the change feed.
  • Neutral ranking. The planner's rules are published and deterministic. Referral links and sponsored placements are labelled and are not inputs to the ranking.
